Overview
This women's only class, taught by commercial tyer Leslie Wrixon introduces you to the fundamentals of fly tying. No experience is necessary and all tools and materials will be provided. If you have your own, feel free to bring with you!
In a casual and comfortable setting, Leslie will cover a bit of fly tying history, basic understanding of tools and materials and how to put the materials together on a hook and create a fly. Various techniques and skills will be taught, demonstrated and applied in learning how to tie a variety of patterns from the woolly bugger to the dry fly. With over 30 years of tying, Leslie will share some of her learned skills throughout the years to make tying both a fun and innovative experience. Leslie will She enjoys teaching all levels of students and helping them find methods to define their fly tying style.
Each student will receive $25 back in in-store credit after completing the course.
