I know, it is not real exciting looking. This is actually a very effective little streamer pattern. Created by Jeff Blood, this is a dead Erie Shiner imitation. Unlike your standard zonker, this is tied with a thin, 1/8 strip to better match the the natural's appearance. They are tied on heavy wire hooks to handle the large steelhead and salmon these flies so effectively catch.

This has also proven to be an effective fly for trout in the Catskills and Upper Delaware, especially in low water conditions!
