We're happy to have John Shaner back on 3/14 for a part two presentation titled Natural Selection: Hackles, Fur Blending, Quills, Herls, and other materials. John will be discussing a variety of materials along with the history and practicality of selecting fly tying materials. This will be an exciting and interesting topic to explore.

A Minimalist’s Process of Fly Design

Join us in the shop on Saturday February 7th from 12pm-3pm for a special presentation with John Shaner as he shares his process and philosophy of fly design. John will talk about the evolution of ideas and patterns that are distilled down to perfection, thus creating a productive fly. John will share his unique approach that he found necessary for the high pressure fishery of his homewaters of the Upper Delaware, as well as his time fishing on the technical western spring creeks. In addition, John will share a few of the patterns he discusses with the audience.
